Champions FAQs

Note: This info is for Champions 2016 and may change for our 2017 event. Please check back later in the year after details have been announced.

What should I expect at Champions?

When you arrive you’ll be greeted by our amazing volunteer team of Stewards. There will be a cafe/chill out area with some fun activites. The meetings will be loud with a great worship band and speaker. In previous years we’ve had special music guests, group games, young speakers, testimonys, celebrations, and a whole lot more. On Saturday morning we’ll have some seminars and interactive sessions then you get Saturday afternoon to explore Glasgow, go shopping or to the cinema, whatever you feel like doing before we come together again for our Saturday evening. It’ll finish around 8pm so that those of you who travelled far (NE I’m talking to you!!) can get home before midnight and you turn into pumpkins.

How much will it cost?

Delegate passes are £15 for the early-bird rate and £18 after that. Single meeting passes are available on the door and cost £6.

How do I get to Champions?

Champions is in C7 Church (20 Kennedy St, Glasgow G4 0EB) in the north of Glasgow city centre. It’s walkable from Glasgow Queen St Station, Buchanan Subway Station, and Buchanan Bus Station so very well connected for public transport. The church has a small car park (free) and the surrounding streets have some parking (paid). Minibuses and other large vehicles may struggle to find parking close to the venue.

Where should we stay?

There are a number of not too expensive hotels within walking distance including Premier Inn, Holiday Inn, Travelodge and Ibis. Alternatively, get in touch with us and we’ll see if we can find you a local church floor to sleep on.

What is the age limit for Champions?

Champions is for anyone aged 12-18 and their leaders. We ask that all youth pastors/leaders are responsible for ensuring they have full consent (parental, medical and otherwise) for all young people in their care.

What do I need to bring to Champions?

A Bible, notebook and pen are very important. You may also wish to bring some extra spending money to buy resources like t-shirts. There will be snacks and drinks available to buy from the cafe.
